The Bendix+ ET-F is an electronic treadle designed for Ford vehicles with electronically controlled diesel engines It replaces traditional mechanical throttle systems by using a potenitometer -variable resistor- to control engine speed As the driver presses the treadle, it rotates the potentiometer, changing its electrical resistance to signal the engine's ECU to increase or decrease fuel delivery
